Hager becomes a certified hardware partner for intelligent charging solutions

The solution offered by Hager provides the appropriate charging infrastructure, consisting of charging stations, load management, and energy distribution – this enables safe charging sessions for electric vehicles without overloading the house connection. With its innovative, cloud-based Chargepoint Management System (CPMS) at its core, the 360° software platform from chargecloud enables efficient management of all charging stations, even across multiple locations, as well as billing that complies with calibration law. The modular ecosystem from chargecloud enables flexible growth of electric mobility.

With the certification, Hager ensures that its charging stations are compatible with the chargecloud software. This involves checking whether relevant information such as charging sessions and fault messages are being submitted correctly to the chargecloud's charge point management system (CPMS) via the OCPP 1.6 protocol. Complete documentation of all charging station models, including the firmware update processes, also contributes to a stable integration with the software.

Hager is an expert in simple and safe electrical installations for residential, commercial, and industrial properties. With witty share, Hager offers a complete solution for charging infrastructure that is backend-capable and can therefore be easily connected to the chargecloud software. The complete solution's load manager can be used to operate the wallboxes in a networked charging infrastructure. The load manager ensures optimal power distribution when charging – whether with dynamic or static control, fixed or flexible parking space allocation – of electric vehicles and prevents the house connection from being overloaded.

The witty share charging infrastructure solution is a complete solution for fixed or flexible parking space allocation. It includes not only wallboxes and load managers, but also all the components needed for a complete charging infrastructure – from the univers Z technical centre with load management field and the unibar M power rail to output boxes for connecting the wallbox. A feed-in housing for any current transformers required in the pre-metering area and measuring transformers for dynamic load management complete the system.

The wallbox with a charging capacity of up to 22 kW is available as a witty share standard and as a MessEG-compliant witty share for common billing systems based on OCPP 1.6. The associated load manager for static and dynamic load management is also available in two versions: as XEM510, it controls up to ten charging points for local applications without external billing. The billable model XEM520 can control up to 40 charging points. If necessary, several load managers can be installed in parallel for static load management, thus controlling more than 40 charging stations.
